Installation

Note that installation into Thunderbird is a little complex (this is due to Thunderbird's internal mechanism rather than because of any issue with the addon - these instructions would apply to ANY addon).

1. Right click INSTALL NOW on the page linked below and choose SAVE LINK AS... Save the thunderplunger xpi that is shown in the File Save dialog onto your computer's hard disk in a location that you can remember. It need be stored there only temporarily.


2. Once the file has been downloaded and stored, select the Tools->Extensions menu item in Thunderbird. Then press the INSTALL button on the dialog that is displayed. An install dialog will be shown. Just press the INSTALL button and wait for the installtion to complete.


3. Once you have completed the install, there is no need to keep the xpi file downloaded in step 1 any longer. Feel free to delete it from your hard disk.
